A Senior Project Officer in the Crime Prevention Programs Unit, supports fellow police officers in all aspects of delivering programs including Neighbourhood Watch, LGBTI Liaison program and Volunteers in Policing program.

The unit also focuses on the development of policy, training packages, conferences, courses, district campaigns as well as coordination of whole of service reporting and crime prevention research.

Communication, time-management and problem-solving skills along with a passion for making a positive impact are important attributes to have whether you are an operational general duties police officer or involved in program support and development.

People don't remember what you do for them but they will always remember how you made them feel. Even when attending the hardest jobs as police, we have the power to make members of the community feel heard - regardless of what capacity we are interacting with them.
