Everyday UNIQ You leverages the power of technology to create a safe place for Grade 9-12 girls to explore, learn and connect with women shaping some of Australia’s most important industries and future jobs, as role models and to offer real-time career pathway advice.
In regional and remote areas, UNIQ You plays a particularly important role in ensuring geographical location is no barrier to girls’ access to conversations that can advance their career opportunities and future economic empowerment.
At the beginning of the journey to our International Day of the Girl Breakfast on Tuesday 11th October, we reached out to regional and remote high schools throughout Queensland to create a list of hopeful UNIQ You sponsorship recipients.
We had schools from Mt Isa and Cairns to Toowoomba express the profound impact 12 months subsidised access to the knowledge, experience and guidance provided by UNIQ You would have on their girls.
Through International Day of the Girl Breakfast ticket sales alone we have been able to connect Grade 9-12 girls from 5 high schools to our service and as a result of sponsorship enquiries on the day of the breakfast and the days following, we are thrilled to announce we have been able to provide 12 months subsidised UNIQ You access to a total of 15 regional and remote schools located throughout Queensland.
