Did you know the Queensland Government Digital Graduate Program has been providing departments access to talented digital and IT graduates since 2017.
The program is helping to build Queensland Government’s digital capability to keep Queensland at the forefront of digital transformation.
Digital graduate candidates come from a range of different universities and have a skill focus of either; Cyber, Data, operations and support, human-centred design, outcome management or technology.
All Queensland Government departments are eligible to participate in the program, with graduates set to commence in March 2024.
The Digital Graduate Program is currently seeking applications from graduates to join the 2024 graduate intake.
It’s not just technical IT. We’re looking for graduates in all aspects of IT development, design and delivery of services to Queenslanders.
The program offers a $68,000 starting salary, flexible working conditions and opportunities for training, networking and ongoing professional development.
Here’s what Momoka, who completed the Digital Graduate Program, had to say about the program.
“I applied for the Digital Graduate Program as it offered me an opportunity to develop a career in the Queensland Government and work on projects that directly benefit Queenslanders.”
“The Digital Graduate Program has helped me to develop an understanding of myself and the different career opportunities.”
Momoka said she also found networking with other graduates to be valuable and they often discussed their roles, departments, and the projects they worked on, which helped improve their knowledge of government and identify career opportunities.
“The range of career opportunities and different projects and roles open to someone in government means it’s a great way for a graduate to determine their career path.”
