Ask me about
- What’s it like climbing a wind turbine, and how high do they go?
- How do you know if a wind farm is working well & making enough energy?
- What do you do if something goes wrong with a turbine?
- How do wind farms help the environment and fight climate change?
About me
- Regional Background
I grew up loving science and solving problems, which led me to study chemical engineering and eventually earn a PhD. I started my career working in power stations, learning how energy is made and how to keep things running safely. Over time, I became a leader in renewable energy, managing wind farms and helping communities understand how clean energy works. I’ve climbed turbines, led big teams, and made sure nature is protected while energy is produced. I also help other women succeed in science and engineering, and I’m passionate about making the world fairer and more sustainable. My journey shows that with curiosity, hard work, and care for others, you can make a real difference in the world.
About my role

A Wind Farm Asset Manager oversees the smooth operation of a wind farm, ensuring that turbines are maintained on time and producing as much clean energy as possible. They work closely with landowners and the local community, and make sure environmental checks are completed properly. Their role includes both hands-on tasks like inspecting equipment and climbing turbines, and office-based work such as analyzing energy data and reviewing technical reports. By balancing fieldwork with strategic planning, they help deliver reliable renewable energy while protecting the environment and building strong relationships with stakeholders. It’s a job that combines science, leadership, and community engagement.
