About me

  • International Experience
  • Regional Background

From when I was very young, I wanted to be a veterinarian, but during school I started to really enjoy art and ended up being strong in the arts and sciences.

I took a year off after school to try and decide which path to take and then started a degree in life sciences. Several years later I had a masters degree in Zoology and few employment opportunities.

A lucky job placement in computational biology introduced me to the world of software development, in which I have worked ever since.

About my role

  • Curious
  • Independent
  • Principled
  • Witty

A technical writer, belongs to the product development department that builds software. The content written forms part of the product that gets sold.

Some of the documentation technical writer's work on is for users of the applications, some is for developers who build extra functionality that integrates with the apps and some is for people who work in the company to configure and support the software for the customers.

Technical writers work closely with the developers, the designers and with other writers to product the technical content.
