Our Impact in 2025
Girls can’t aspire to careers they’ve never seen.
In 2025, UNIQ You connected 3,398 girls across Australia with female role models — UNIQ You Advisors — working across industries where women remain underrepresented, through real-time virtual career conversations designed to build knowledge, curiosity and confidence.
Through those conversations, girls gained awareness of careers they may never have previously considered, while seeing first-hand that women just like them can succeed in those industries. These “Just Like Me” connections help make unfamiliar careers feel more visible, relatable and achievable, expanding girls’ understanding of the opportunities available to them.
As Australia faces growing workforce shortages across STEM and high-growth industries, strengthening future talent pipelines has never been more important.
OECD research shows that young people’s career aspirations are becoming increasingly narrow and disconnected from the realities of the workforce with many students defaulting to familiar occupations. Research also demonstrates that early exposure to employers and real-world career conversations significantly improves career readiness and long-term employment outcomes (OECD, 2025).
At the same time, women remain significantly underrepresented across many of the industries critical to Australia’s future workforce.
UNIQ You exists to help bridge this gap.
Through partnerships with schools, educators and our industry partners, UNIQ You is helping girls explore pathways they may never have previously considered possible while supporting a more diverse and future-ready workforce for Australia.

These “Just Like Me” connections help transform career exploration from something abstract into something tangible, relatable and achievable.
