About me

  • International Experience

My professional journey began in Uruguay, working in my family’s business while studying law. After graduating and gaining legal experience, I felt a strong desire to broaden my horizons. Together with my husband, we ventured overseas to explore new cultures and improve our English, eventually settling in the vibrant landscapes of New Zealand. Our journey later brought us to Australia, where I discovered the dynamic world of construction.

For the past 10 years, I’ve worked in the construction industry as a Contract Administrator. Drawing on my legal background, I’ve developed a sharp eye for detail—an asset in analysing contracts and preparing documentation. My responsibilities have included preparing tenders, managing pre-contract processes, ensuring compliance, maintaining subcontractor relationships, and resolving payment disputes across both private and public sectors. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with top-tier construction firms and government organisations nationwide. Currently, I serve as a Contract Administrator at Fulton Hogan Construction.

My legal training, combined with a diploma in business, leadership, and management, has equipped me to navigate the complexities of contracts with confidence. Over time, I’ve developed a strong affinity for construction law, which naturally complements my role. I’m also proud to contribute to the industry as a mentor through the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) program.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about travel – it allows me to immerse myself in different cultures and gain new perspectives. I aspire to continue making meaningful contributions to my profession while embracing the richness of life’s experiences

Coordinating with finance and administration staff, they ensure proper billing and payment. They draft and execute internal and external subcontract correspondence, lead the resolution of payment disputes, and perform subcontract payment audits. They maintain all required subcontract records, documents, guarantees, warranties, insurances, and bonds. They monitor delays, liquidated damages, and the extension of time for subcontracts, and assess and issue variation orders and claims. Additionally, they assist the Procurement Manager in developing RFTs, preparing RFA documentation, and meeting project requirements for sustainability, social procurement, and compliance.
