About me
I was 5 when I told my parents I wanted to be a lawyer but they were most surprised I continued with this career path. After graduating from Griffith University on the Gold Coast (my home town) I spent the next 7 years in private practice. I had my first son 10 years ago, after which my family made a tree change, buying a farm and moving to the regional town of Chinchilla, Queensland. I continued to work in a small private law practice for a couple of years then moved to Origin Energy where I have now been for nearly 7 years during which time I’ve had 2 more children and 5 different roles in 3 separate areas of the business.

My role as Land Access Lead involves managing and mentoring a team of Land Access professionals within the Coal Seam Gas industry to obtain and maintain access to privately owned land. My team is responsible for liaising with farmers, businesses, corporations and individuals to enter into long term contractual arrangements to allow Origin access to private land to construct and operate gas infrastructure on the land. The role also involves collaborating with local government and community organisations to understand the impacts and benefits of our activities on the local community. What I love about my role is that it is dynamic and every day has different challenges.
