Scenes of Crime Officers assist investigations by collecting forensic evidence to enhance intelligence and add value to court cases.
Scenes of Crime Officers attend incident scenes, take up with involved parties, determine scene parameters and collect physical evidence. Evidence comes in a variety of forms. The methods available for evidence collection are equally diverse.
Scenes of Crime Officers must be proficient in each collection method to ensure evidence is preserved in a manner that can be presented in court.
