Recognising that large-scale change requires wide-spread support, Valiente’s backing helps draw much-needed attention to low female representation across some of Australia’s most essential and innovative sectors.
According to Australia’s Gender Equality scorecard 2019-2020 (WGEA), Australia’s workforce remains highly gender segregated, impacting on social and economic progress at all levels of society. Gender stereotypes that suggest girls are more suitable for some careers over others continue to deter female talent from pursuing roles in sectors leading the way in critical areas, such as clean energy and digital infrastructure.
Valiente has demonstrated commitment to significantly increasing the number of high school girls entering the pipeline into these industries and roles by providing project management and assurance services for the development and launch of the technical aspects of the UNIQ You platform.
