Advisor
What if I leave my company?
Sorry, you can’t be involved anymore, but you can convince your new company to come on as a partner!
What if I change roles within my company?
In most cases it should be fine to stay on the platform, we’d just get you to update your profile and job specifics.
Why am I not getting booked?
It may be due to one of these reasons. 1. There is not enough availability in the calendar to match up to a student's timetable. 2. Your profile might need updating to spark the students interest. Contact the Advisor Coordinator who can help you with this.
What if I can no longer participate in the service?
We would be sorry to see you go. We know that your time is valuable and we appreciate your contribution so far. Contact your Advisor Coordinator who will advise UNIQ YOU that you can no longer participate. If you would like to be involved at a later date, please let us know.
What if the student wants to make contact on social media or linkedin?
There is to be no contact made between Advisors and Students outside of the UNIQ YOU online call platform unless a Parent or Educator has made the arrangements directly with yourself or your company coordinator. Any contact of this nature falls outside UNIQ YOU’s responsibility.
Can I contact the student after our call for mentorship?
Any contact between yourself and a specific student or educator must be first directed through the Advisor Coordinator or Partnerships Manager. Any contact of this nature falls outside UNIQ YOU’s responsibility.
How many students will be on the call?
Each call is one-on-one with the student and there will always be an Educator with them.
How long will each call go for?
Each call will last for a maximum of 30 minutes in duration.
What is UNIQ YOU?
UNIQ YOU is a new, ground-breaking virtual advisory service that connects high school girls directly with women in under-represented roles designed for pathway inspiration, insight and guidance. This is a new concept that fills and addresses a current and critical political agenda to address diversity and inclusion in all workplaces, as old outdated methods are failing to turn the dial.

Can I book multiple times with the same advisor and student?
While technically this is allowed, it is our recommendation and preference that your students use the call credits to speak with multiple advisors once each, rather than seek a 'mentoring' relationship with any one advisor.
Who can I contact if I cannot find a suitable time?
If your student is set on speaking with a specific advisor and there are no times where your availabilities overlap, on a rare occasion we may be able to organise a time with them directly. In these instances, please contact the Schools Coordinator.
Can we get the advisor to speak at a live event?
The nominated key contact at your school will be provided with direct contact details of the key contact person at each of our Foundational Partner Organisations. The school is welcome to liaise with this person directly to organise any in-person experiences. These will fall outside of UNIQ YOU's responsibility.
Who can supervise the calls?
Schools are required to nominate up to three educators who will receive onboarding training. These educators can supervise the calls. Our preference is that at least one educator is the school's Career / Guidance Officer (or equivalent).
What platform will the calls be hosted on?
Once the call is booked in and confirmed, educators will receive a link to a video call hosted on Zoom.
Can calls take place outside of school hours?
There may be limited times available to book in after school as our advisors work business hours but this will depend on the advisors availability.

Can multiple students be on the one call?
At this stage only one student can be on the call at a time to make the most of the personalised approach. We will review the opportunity to incorporate small-group participation in the future.
