About me

My role is as a Senior Project Engineer for BMD, I am passionate about encouraging diversity within the Construction industry. Especially empowering fellow women. 

In Year 12, I had no idea the career path I wanted to take. It was only at the last minute that I applied for my University Course. As I attended an all girls High School, construction was not on my radar. However, when a female Engineer spoke on Careers Day, a chain reaction was started and I ended up in such a rewarding industry. 

Ten years later, I have been travelling throughout QLD, NSW and VIC, collaborating on diverse projects with diverse teams. With a background in leading sporting teams and enjoying challenges, I have had a versatile career applying those skills to lead teams in delivering successful construction projects as well as mentoring other women.

I have over a decade of experience delivering major and complex projects in the civil construction sector for clients including the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Brisbane Airport Corporation, and the Department of Defence.

I’ve worked across Australia as a Civil Engineer on projects such as airports, water treatment plants, wind farms, railways, bridges, and urban developments. Through this experience, I’ve developed extensive project management skills, leading teams of engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and plant hire. I’m passionate about advocating for women in the workforce at all levels—from boots on the ground to operators and office staff.

In my current role, I proactively oversee construction requirements, manage program development and maintenance, cost control and forecasting, people development, logistics, and commercial management, working across both site and office to ensure successful delivery.
