UNIQ You is proud to partner with ACEN Australia to help inspire more girls to explore careers in the renewable energy sector.
ACEN Australia develops, builds, owns and operates renewable energy projects across the country, with a growing portfolio spanning solar, wind, battery storage and pumped hydro. As Australia transitions toward a cleaner energy future, the sector is creating new and diverse career opportunities across engineering, project development, environmental science and community engagement.
Through this partnership, ACEN Australia will help connect high school girls with women working across the renewable energy industry, giving students a clearer view of the pathways available and the real people behind these careers.
The partnership builds on ACEN Australia’s earlier support of UNIQ You as a major sponsor of UNIQ You’s 2025 International Day of the Girl Fundraising Breakfast. The event brought together industry leaders and supporters to champion gender equity in education and careers, raising $52,356 for UNIQ You’s Schools Scholarship Fund.
These funds will enable 35 schools to access UNIQ You’s program in 2026, helping more students connect with female role models working in industries where women remain underrepresented.
Val Ridley, CEO of UNIQ You, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for young women.
“Support from organisations like ACEN Australia makes a tangible difference,” Val said. “Their sponsorship of our International Day of the Girl Breakfast helped open the door for dozens of schools to access UNIQ You’s service. Now, through this partnership, their team will also play a direct role in inspiring the next generation of women in renewable energy.”
As part of the partnership, five female professionals from ACEN Australia will join UNIQ You’s Advisor library, connecting with high school students through live career conversations. By sharing their personal journeys, experiences and insights, these Advisors will help students better understand the pathways into renewable energy and the many roles shaping Australia’s energy transition.
Together, ACEN Australia and UNIQ You are helping ensure more girls can see themselves in the industries building Australia’s future energy system.
