👋 Meet Dr Lulu He, a Principal Scientist at Queensland Fire Department, Rural Fire Service (RFS) and was our spotlighted staff member for National Science Week.
Dr He leads a dynamic team of highly skilled program officers, ecologists, and spatial analysts to deliver vegetation mapping products. Conducting fieldwork across Queensland, their work has been applied to predict bushfire hazard, inform land use planning decisions, and support mitigation strategies.
🏆 Dr He has been selected as a STEM Superstar by Science & Technology Australia. She inspires young generations of scientists often delivering science talk at schools, childcare centres and universities. She hopes to break down gender bias and foster equality, promoting the STEM field and women in leadership roles.
We are incredibly proud of Lulu for her commitment and expertise contributing to the long-term safety in our communities!
