The Dam Safety Engineer assists in several aspects of dam safety management for the 26 dams owned and operated by Seqwater.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in assessing the compliance of all Seqwater dams with the requirements of Dam Safety guidelines and regulations.

• Collating, analysing and managing dam safety instrumentation data installed to assess the structural performance of the dam whilst liaising with the Dam Operators.

• Assisting in reviewing and updating dam safety documentation for each dam.

• Completing annual and 5-yearly dam safety inspections on company owned referable dams.

• Undertaking hydrological studies for real time flood forecasting and monitoring purposes.

• Assisting in flood operations during flood events.
