About me
Having left high school halfway through grade 10, I initially had the goal of joining the Royal Australian Navy. To continue learning and developing throughout my application process, I began a Business Traineeship which is where I was offered an opportunity to undertake an IT Traineeship, despite not having any knowledge or experience within the industry.
After completing the traineeship and accepting a permanent role in IT, I have continued to grow in my career by completing several short courses which have assisted me with taking on new job opportunities.
Now an Implementation Consultant at Skedulo, I am excited to share my journey to encourage young women to be open to the opportunities within the industry as it has opened doors for me that I didn’t believe were possible after not finishing high school.
About my role
- Flexible
- Logical
- Observant
- Resourceful
- Thorough
Once a client has decided they would like to implement Skedulo within their business, this role works closely with them, to support and guide them throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure they are getting the most value from the platform.
Starting with understanding their current systems and processes, the Implementation Consultant works through capturing how the client needs the system to work for them, then liaises with internal teams to first determine whether it is possible, then works through building and customising the platform as required.
Once the developers have built the platform, the Implementation Consultant supports clients throughout their user acceptance testing to ensure it is working as expected for them, then provides them with several training sessions outlining how each different user type will interact with the system to ensure a smooth and successful go live.
