About me

  • International Experience

I am an avid volunteer who is passionate about violence against women, supporting people with mental and physical disabilities, suicide prevention and building a more diverse and inclusive society.  I am also a belly dancer with a black belt in tae kwon do.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do for my career when I finished school so moved overseas to Mauritius and got married at 18 and started a family. I eventually made my way back to Australia and after several jobs in administration and finance fields I enrolled as a single mum into a Business Degree at Uni.

I worked with mental and physical disabilities before taking a leap and landing a job at TechnologyOne.  I never thought that a non-technical person like myself could be working in IT and promoted twice in 3yrs to now being a Project Manager. There is nothing a women can’t achieve if she puts her mind to it!

I believe that the health and development of a nation is dependent on educating young girls to become women who can make independent decisions in all aspects of their lives. I want to assist in supporting and uniting you all to be the best person you can possibly be..yourselves!

About my role

  • Humorous
  • Optimistic
  • Passionate
  • Personable

A Project Manager in TechnologyOne is responsible for making sure that their team delivers high quality software within required timeframes before it is released to customers.

To achieve this a Project Manager will get teams together from all over the business and lead and manage the project.  To do this they need to identify a project goal. This will be agreed upon with other team members and levels of management. There will then be the planning phase where cycles of creating and innovating how to get the best solution for the customer will take place. Next will come execution where the entire team, led by the Project Manager, works on the project plan with key people identified to carry out certain parts.

The Project Manager monitors the progress of execution and might need to alter the plan if unexpected issues arise.  They will also control the cost, time, quality, risk and other factors related to the project. Once the project has been completed, the Project Manager will inform customers of the date they will receive the new feature.
