About me
- International Experience
- Regional Background
I am a Registered Nurse and Health Advisor at OZ Minerals, Prominent Hill and am passionate about seeing girls become confident, brave and kind people. I want them to be exposed to things, and have lots of opportunities, so they develop into amazing humans.
While working in Nursing my whole adult career, I have had many opportunities to move and work in different areas of the profession. From a big hospital in a big city, to a one Nurse clinic in outback Australia. I remember being a teenager and I have a teenage niece, thus I have empathy for this time in your life! I have mentored many young nurses as they start their training and can relate to this phase. I believe that “learning is a lifelong journey”, which can help you to have a successful career and a happy and fulfilling life.

The role of Health Advisor at a mine site is very diverse and involves working at remote mine sites.
The Health Advisor role provides medical care for up to 800 people. You will also provide assessment, treatment and care for everything - a bit like a GP clinic and Emergency Department merged into one! This can include first aid, immunisations and complex medical conditions.
Medical help is a long way away. In this role you will work independently on site but can call on the telephone to seek advice from a doctor. Occasionally the Royal Flying Doctor Service will be required.
